Nyiragongo volcano erupts in Democratic Republic of the Congo

AFRICA | Nyiragongo volcano, located near the city of Goma, in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, erupted this Saturday

The authorities ordered the evacuation of the population of the city of Goma, the lava river reached the airport although now it is heading towards #Ruanda

The Nyiragongo is one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world, in the eruption of January 17, 2002 it caused the death of 250 people and left 120 thousand homeless
