TORONTO, ON — The Meagan Bebenek Foundation (MBF) is proud to announce “Night of Discovery”, a landmark evening of purpose, passion, and progress taking place on September 25, 2025, at the legendary El Mocambo in Toronto.

The event marks the official launch of MBF’s 25th anniversary year, celebrating a quarter-century of groundbreaking research, partnerships, and hope in the fight against childhood brain cancer. Held during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, this milestone also unveils MBF’s boldest initiative yet the 25 in 25 Campaign, a commitment to fund 25 groundbreaking pediatric brain tumour seed research projects over the next year.

“There couldn’t be a better time to honour the lives touched by the Meagan Bebenek Foundation and to rally support for the work still to come,” said Denise Bebenek, Founder and President of MBF.

Adding to the excitement, Juno Award–winning artist Sean Jones, fresh off his successful Palais Royale residency, will headline the evening with a dynamic live performance.

“It’s a privilege to lend my voice to such an important cause,” said Sean Jones. “The Meagan Bebenek Foundation has spent 25 years turning heartbreak into hope, and I’m proud to stand with them as they launch the next chapter. Night of Discovery is more than a concert  it’s a movement.”

A Night of Impact and Inspiration

Guests at Night of Discovery will experience an unforgettable evening featuring:

  • Gourmet dining and curated cocktails
  • Personal stories from families and researchers on the front lines
  • The emotional unveiling of 25 in 25, showcasing MBF’s legacy and bold vision for the future

Founded in memory of Meagan Bebenek, MBF has raised millions to support pediatric brain tumour research, awareness, and family assistance. As a national charitable organization, the Foundation is dedicated to driving research, raising awareness, and providing support for families affected by pediatric brain tumours. With hope at its core, MBF is advancing life-changing discoveries for children worldwide.

“This is more than a celebration it’s a call to action,” said Denise Bebenek. “Night of Discovery brings our community together to honour our past and fund a future full of hope for children and families facing a brain tumour diagnosis.”
