Honoring Everyday Heroes Challenge Launching Today

Announced today at the Samsung Developer Conference, Call for Code is teaming up with Samsung to provide an opportunity for developers and innovators around the world to build skills and give back to those who have been paramount to getting through the pandemic by offering the Call for Code: Honoring Everyday Heroes Challenge.

Technology can solve the world’s biggest problems, and it has an integral role to play in bringing support to everyday heroes in a variety of ways.

For this challenge, participants are tasked with building a tech solution that runs on a Samsung tablet, smartphone, and/or wearable device and uses IBM open hybrid cloud technologies. Participants will also have access to Samsung toolkits, as well as data from The Weather Company.

Submissions are evaluated by a judging panel from IBM and Samsung, and the winning team will receive:

$15k USD (divided equally among the team)
Galaxy Z Fold3 (one for each team member)
Deployment support from IBM & Samsung Electronics to bring the solution to life
