Toronto, Canada — Organisers of the upcoming BIPOC Youth Expo and Summit 2026 are inviting schools, students, and community members to take part in a dynamic cultural and career-focused event set to take place on February 23, 2026, at the Sheraton Centre Toronto in the Main Ballroom.
Positioned as both a celebration and a platform for growth, the summit is designed specifically for BIPOC youth aged 15 to 25. Under the theme “Know your community and believe in yourself… We do,” the event aims to equip young people with the knowledge, networks, and confidence needed to navigate their futures.
The expo will bring together a wide range of opportunities, including career exploration, mentorship, and leadership development. Attendees will have the chance to engage directly with professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders, gaining insight into post-secondary education pathways and evolving career landscapes. Workshops, networking sessions, and cultural showcases led by BLACKNORTH Initiatives will form a central part of the programme.
“Too often, young people are told to wait their turn,” one organiser said. “This summit is about showing them that their voice, their talent, and their ideas matter right now. We want them to leave knowing that their future is something they can actively shape.”
Organisers say the event is structured to support a diverse audience, including high school, college, and university students, as well as young professionals, aspiring entrepreneurs, and creatives. Panels and exhibitions will address the varying needs of participants at different stages of their journeys, while also offering practical tools to support long term success.
Beyond career development, the summit will highlight the creative and cultural contributions of BIPOC youth through live performances, art installations, and digital media showcases. Community organisers, educators, mentors, and youth support organisations are also expected to attend, creating a space for dialogue, collaboration, and engagement.
This year’s event features an extensive lineup of speakers and contributors, including Dr Rosemary Sadlier, Isaac Olowolafe Jr, Emily O’Brien, Efosa KC Obano, Zamani Ra, Desneige Frandsen, Stephanie McLean, Deniyi Talabi, Kwadwo Adusei, Benard Akuoko, Leslie McCue, Adamou Ceesay, DJ Bonde, and Chef Patience Chirisa.
With national media coverage and a strong focus on representation and opportunity, the BIPOC Youth Expo and Summit continues to grow as a key platform for empowering the next generation.
Organisers encourage schools and individuals to participate and be part of an event that celebrates community, creativity, and possibility.
