The two-day Seminar which comes together with an awards presentation kickstarts today, Friday 12 November and ends tomorrow Saturday 13 November in Beitbridge.

Speaking to Real-Time News Daily reporter, Sundrive Coalition spokesperson Honest Innocent Chenjerai said they were excited to host the two days seminar in Beitbridge. “We are happy the top-notch speakers accepted our invitation to speak at the event and we strongly believe this is going to be one of the memorable events in Beitbridge, if not in Zimbabwe.” He said.

This year the glamourous event has incorporated key top-notch speakers and captains of the industry who will make presentations. Speakers will touch on various topics. A part of the speakers are Tabernacle of Grace Church Founder and President Batsirai Java, the former Minister of Energy, Fortune Chasi, Regional Immigration Officer Nqobile Ncube among others.

Running under the theme “The Leap, Taking Business from Communal to Global Perspective”, the summit is expected to host one hundred delegates. The Seminar will take place at the Kingdom Light Church Auditorium and has two segments which are the presentation of papers by experts and the awards presentation to acknowledge the border town and district’s outstanding business achievers.

The seminar aims to empower, inspire and educate the local business community in order for them to fully utilize their capacity whilst appreciating innovation and excellence amongst the local entrepreneurs and business leaders.

The initiative was pioneered in March 2019 by Sundrive Coalition, working in conjunction with Dream Chasers International with the mind to transform our youths in business and the community at large whilst transforming people’s lives. The summit attracted high profound guests including the then-District Administrator, Traditional Chiefs, Influential business people and managers of various companies within the district, and many others sent their representatives.

In 2019 it hosted Dr Philip Mataranyika as the Guest Speaker and the government through its ministry, The Ministry of Youth, endorsed the summit significantly.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions in 2020, they hosted local Business speakers and Philanthropists including the Regional Manager in Charge of Immigration Beitbridge office Mr Nqobile Ncube and Pastor S. Muleya who is one of the church leaders in Beitbridge.

The summit has a broader vision to inspire and motivate local entrepreneurs and business leaders in order for them to keep the focus, succeed and excel.

To fulfil this vision they create social intercourse between people and companies. Thereby, fostering linkages and goodwill, to bring like -minded entities on one platform to create relationships, networking and exchange of ideas.
Furthermore, they focus on creating a platform for exhibition whilst fostering dialogue between entrepreneurs and potential investors, and customers among others.
